  9.   Do not install this software until you have read and  
  10.   agreed to comply with the terms listed in the NetView*  
  11.   Network Planner/2 Overview Demonstration Diskette
  12.   License Agreement that is included with this documentation.

  17.   IBM DOS 5.0
  18.   386 IBM PS/2* or compatible 
  19.   VGA monitor, keyboard and mouse  
  20.   500 KB RAM or higher
  21.   2.5 MB of free hard disk space  
  22.   
  23.   Installation
  24.   ------------
  25.   
  26.   1. If you have not already done so, start DOS or a DOS 
  27.   full-screen session.  OS/2 users:  Double-click on the 
  28.   DOS full-screen icon located in the Command Prompts 
  29.   folder in the OS/2* System folder. 
  30.   
  31.   2. Insert the NetView Network Planner/2 Overview 
  32.   Demonstration Diskette into your diskette drive. 
  33.   
  34.   3. At the DOS prompt, enter A:.  At the A: prompt, enter    
  35.   INSTALL to begin the installation. 
  36.   
  37.   4. In the dialog box that appears, enter the path where 
  38.   you would like to install the demonstration.   
  39.       
  40.   5. After the demonstration is installed, enter NNP2DEMO 
  41.   to begin the demonstration.
  42.  
  43.   6. After using the demonstration, please complete the reader
  44.   comment form (NNPRCF.TXT).  You can return the form via mail,
  45.   FAX, or E-Mail using the information listed on the form.

  49.  PROGRAM LICENSE AGREEMENT

  51.  Overview Demonstration Diskette

  53.   This is an IBM license agreement for the NetView Network Planner/2
  54.   Overview Demonstration Diskette.
  55.  
  56.   This Program is licensed, not sold.  International 
  57.   Business Machines Corporation, or the applicable IBM country
  58.   organization, grants you a license for the Program only in  
  59.   the country where you acquired the program.  You obtain no  
  60.   rights other than those granted to you under this license.  
  61.   
  62.   The term "Program" means the original and all whole or
  63.   partial copies of it, including modified copies or 
  64.   portions merged into other programs.  IBM retains title to  
  65.   the Program.  IBM owns, or has licensed from the owner,  
  66.   copyrights in the Program. 
  67.   
  68.   You are responsible for the selection of the Program and 
  69.   for the installation of, use of, and results obtained 
  70.   from, the Program.
  71.   
  72.   1. LICENSE  
  73.   
  74.   Under this license, you may use, copy, and transfer copies of 
  75.   the Program, unless otherwise noted.  
  76.   
  77.   You may not:

  79.  o Modify, or merge copies of the Program  except as provided in 
  80.    this Agreement; 
  81.  o Reverse assemble or reverse compile the Program; or  
  82.  o Sub-license, rent, lease, or assign the Program.

  84.   2. LIMITED WARRANTY  
  85.   
  86.   This program is provided "as is" without warranty of any 
  87.   kind, either express or implied, including, but not
  88.   limited to, the implied warranties of merchantability and
  89.   fitness for a particular purpose. The entire risk as to  
  90.   the quality and performance of the Program is with you.  
  91.   Some states, provinces, and other countries do not allow 
  92.   the exclusion of implied warranties, so the above  
  93.   exclusion may not apply.
  94.   
  95.   IBM does not warrant that the functions contained in the 
  96.   Program will meet your requirements or that the operation
  97.   of the Program will be uninterrupted or error free.
  98.   
  99.   However, IBM warrants the media on which the Program is  
  100.   furnished to be free from defects in materials and 
  101.   workmanship under normal use. 
  102.   
  103.   3. LIMITATION OF REMEDIES  
  104.   
  105.   IBM's entire liability and your exclusive remedy shall be:  
  106.   
  107.   1. The replacement of any diskette or CD-ROM not
  108.   meeting IBM's "Limited Warranty" on the media and which  
  109.   is returned to IBM.
  110.   
  111.   2. If IBM is unable to deliver a replacement diskette or 
  112.   CD-ROM which is free of defects in materials or 
  113.   workmanship, you may terminate this Agreement by
  114.   returning this Program. 
  115.   
  116.   In no event will IBM be liable for any lost profits, lost
  117.   savings, or any incidental damages or other economic  
  118.   consequential damages, even if IBM has been advised of the  
  119.   possibility of such damages, or for any damages claimed by  
  120.   you based on any third party claim. 
  121.   
  122.   
  123.   The limitation of remedies described in this Section also
  124.   applies to any developer of a Program supplied to IBM.
  125.   IBM's and the developer's limitations of remedies are not
  126.   cumulative.  Such developer is an intended beneficiary of
  127.   this Section.  
  128.   
  129.   Some jurisdictions do not allow the limitation or  
  130.   exclusion of incidental or consequential damages so the  
  131.   above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.
  132.   
  133.   4. GENERAL  
  134.   
  135.   You may terminate your license at any time. IBM may
  136.   terminate your license if you fail to comply with the 
  137.   terms and conditions of this Agreement.  In either event,
  138.   you must destroy all your copies of the Program.
  139.   
  140.   You are responsible for payment of any taxes, including  
  141.   personal property taxes, resulting from this license. 
  142.   
  143.   Neither party may bring an action, regardless of form,
  144.   more than two years after the cause of action arose.  
  145.   
  146.   If you acquired the Program in the United States, this
  147.   license is governed by the laws of the State of New York.
  148.   If you acquired the Program in Canada, this license is
  149.   governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario.
  150.   Otherwise, this license is governed by the laws of the
  151.   country in which you acquired the Program.
